An Observance of the 71st Anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education, 66th Anniversary of the Prince Edward County School Closures, and the 61st Anniversary of Griffin v. Prince Edward County
On May 15 and 16, The Prince Edward County Branch NAACP joined with the Russa Moton Museum to sponsor this program that focused on the long history of Black educators in Prince Edward County before, during, and after the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision. The program was followed by the NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner on May 17 with Dr. Eric Griffin, son of the Rev. L. Francis Griffin, serving as keynote speaker. Below are some photos of the events.
